I was born and raised in a small town in Indiana and still live on the same block as i did in 1983. As a young child I was always fascinated with art and I would sit at the kitchen table with for hours drawing and coloring. Art class was always my favorite subject in school and I was always the "creative one". Once high school ended I stepped into the work force not really knowing what I wanted to do with my life. I never thought of using my creativity for a career...I always just thought of it as a hobby and never really gave it a second thought.

In 2007 I started playing around with the idea of using my creativity in ways that others could experience from it and the idea of wanting to become a photographer was born. I didn't really know where to go from there but I started researching it online and trying to soak in as much information as I could. After not being able to afford a decent camera I put the photographer idea on the back burner and just continued to hope one day it would happen.

In 2008 something horrible and amazing happened all at the same time. I was laid off from my job four days after returning from our honeymoon and one day before my 25th birthday. Was it a sign? Of course! Was it a message from someone? Absolutely! After a few tears I knew it was a blessing in disguise. I quickly picked myself up and started my journey of becoming a photographer.

Now...five years later i consider myself one of the luckiest people in the world. I have a successful business, amazing clients, and in 2011 I opened my own studio...with my name on the front door. :o)
