Married :: Ryley and Amanda

Ryley and Amanda :: Brazil, Indiana // This wedding was such a blast to be a part of.  It was super relaxed and comfortable…not stressful at all.  Usually when a first look isn’t involved…there can sometimes be a little stress beforehand trying to balance the photos and keeping the bride and groom from seeing eachother..but with a super laid back bride and groom, a very comfortable family and bridal party…there was not one moment this entire wedding day that I was stressed or felt rushed.  We took our time and got all the necessary photos done beforehand…and then we did something that I’m really starting to love doing…even though it makes me SUPER nervous.  We did a no look, first look.  I LOVED these photos!!  Though I will say..the entire time I was shooting them…my hands were sweating because I was so nervous that one of them was going to peek around the corner at the other..but they both behaved! haha  Enjoy some of my favorites from the day!0065_phillipswedding

After the ceremony I followed the bride and groom and the entire bridal party out to the middle of nowhere (seriously…middle of nowhere) and there was this great location that they got permission to use that had an awesome old barn, willow tree, old truck, and so much more.  I LOVED the spot…and hopefully will get the opportunity to shoot there again one day.

Married :: Brian and Tifty // Green and Orange Fall Wedding

Brian and Tifty :: Lawrenceville, Illinois //  Brian and Tifty looked SO ADORABLE during their engagement session.  I absolutely LOVED how they interacted together.  They were so comfortable and sweet to eachother.   So…I knew their wedding was going to be super laid back, comfortable, and such a fun day.  And..I was right!  We met at the church to do detail and getting ready shots and also did a first look.  Then we went straight into family formals and then the ceremony.  Since we were traveling from Lawrenceville, Illinois to Vincennes, Indiana we decided to do all bridal party and bride and groom photos at different locations on our way there.  This is something that I do pretty often on wedding days but usually I have predetermined locations and I know where we are going…for this wedding I left it all up to Tifty.  I’ll be honest, I was super nervous at the locations she was going to pick since I didn’t get a chance to see them beforehand…but she did a great job and all the locations we stopped out worked out perfectly.  Enjoy some of my favorites from the day.

Married :: Steven and Emily

Emily and Steven :: Terre Haute, Indiana // Last September I had the pleasure of shooting Steven and Emily’s engagement session and this September we got to shoot their wedding!  However…the weather for their wedding day was nothing like their engagement session… :o/  Their wedding was the weekend after Hurricane Isaac hit the gulf/new orleans area and all the hurricane weather had managed it’s way up and over into the midwest.  The friday before their wedding it rained and poured all day and the chance of rain for Saturday was 100%.  So..while I had high hopes for awesome outdoor photos at St. Mary’s, in the back of my mind I knew it was probably going to be almost impossible.  However, something special happened on Emily and Steven’s wedding day.  It rained off and on all morning, it rained during the ceremony, and it even rained (POURED) during our drive from the church to St. Mary’s.  But…when we pulled into St. Mary’s and got out of our cars to do the outdoor photos…the rain completely stopped…and the sun even came out.  It was probably the craziest and most unexpected thing I had seen on a wedding day…but I sure wasn’t complaining!  I knew the chances of having no rain for a long period of time was unlikely…so we whipped through bridal party photos as fast as we could and then spent as much time with Emily and Steven doing their portraits before we headed into St. Mary’s for the reception.  I still don’t know how we managed to get a break in the weather, someone was obviously looking down on Emily and Steven’s big day…but whoever was responsible for it…. thank you! :o)0019_templetonwedding

And….I pretty much always cry at every father/daughter dance.. Me..being a daddy’s girl…it just happens. :o)  But..when the father/daughter is so “in” the moment and they really show their emotions….you can usually find me sobbing behind the lens.  But..after five years of doing this..I can totally master getting great emotional shots..while i’m a hot mess behind the lens. :o) Such a great memory from the wedding day.

Married :: Luke and Jennifer | Green and Navy Wedding

Luke and Jennifer // Terre Haute, Indiana :: Wow…this wedding was stunning.  Everything from the wedding colors to the flowers….to the reception decor…was PERFECT.  I loved how it had a mix of modern (the guys ties) but yet also had a touch of vintage style (the brides dress).  You know how you look at wedding photos from the 80′s and they are totally outdated because of the dress or decor… well this wedding is still going to look timeless and classy…even 20 or more years down the road.  Enjoy some of my favorites from their day…

Married:: Ryan and Lindsay | Green Summer Wedding

Ryan and Lindsay // Terre Haute, Indiana :: I’m sure you guys remember the names Ryan and Lindsay from their engagement session I posted last October.  We had a great time during their session and I knew the wedding day would be no different.  We started the day off at their church with the bride and her bridesmaids getting married.  Then we jumped in the party bus and drove to the grooms family home for the first look and some bridal party photos.  We then stopped by the big green barn at Idle Creek to snap a fun “Thank You” Bridal party shot and then back to the church we went so that Ryan and Lindsay could get hitched! :o)  Enjoy some of my favorites from the day.

Engaged :: Lawrence and Kate | St. Marys Engagement Session

I met up with Lawrence and Kate this past fall at St. Marys to shoot their engagement session.  They showed up with tons of props and ideas (which I LOVE) and when you mix that with an adorable couple who is comfortable in front of the camera you get an AWESOME session!  Probably one of my favorite engagement photos that I took ALL year is the one below of them laying on the quilt.  I absolutely LOVE that quilt and would pay just about any amount of money to snatch it up. :o) But between the quilt, balloons, save the date sign, and their clothing choices…they did an excellent job putting it all together!  Enjoy some of my favorites!
